Hello: I want to clean the heads of the floppy disk drive and don't I
find a floppy cleaning, can I use a normal diskette and to wet it with
alcohol and to pass it by way of cleaning, did this cause some damage?

thank you

The best case is that wetting a standard floppy with alcohol and inserting
it into the drive will do nothing. Worst case it will further gum things up
and result in complete drive head failure. In the day they sold floppy
drive cleaning kits. The kit cost in the order of 20 bucks. You can easily
just purchase a new drive for less than that and have a new drive. In other
words, floppy drives are disposable, any maintenance done on these is a
waste of time and effort.

Don't put alcohol on a regular floppy disk.

Use google. You can also get cleaning kits for less than $5 locally
nowadays. They come in handy when you need to use a floppy drive and it
won't read because of dust or whatever.

Open the drive up and use a swab with isopropyl alcohol. The heads are normally
open without a disk in. Be gentle but firm. Then inspect the heads as best you
can for damage.

BTW I have several spare drives you can have for $3 each
